I want to play as the light does…
At sunset on tips of curling waves
Or set forest of trees ablaze
in leaves of amber bright
And move wings of butterflies
to stained glass flight
I want to play as the light does…
On drifts, as the glistening of snow
Or be the gold of meadow
in misty morning dew
And cast for the wind, shadows
canvases of dancing hue
I want to play as the light does…
Storm flashing clouds of gray
Or bend rain to archway
charming color from the gloom
And be the warmth which entices
the budding flower to bloom
I want to play as the light does…
On celestial stages as lunar faces
Or stir heartfelt wishes
through the twinkling of stars
And paint cosmic masterpieces
heavenly murals from afar
I want to play as the light does…
As the fair sparkle in love’s eye
Or kindle pure essence lying
in divine souls blessed
And illuminate all creation
as God’s thoughts manifest
